The Côte d’Azur has become a favorite destination over the years. I wanted to show you some of the spots I have come to love. More than anything, it has been a large inspiration for Exposure to a Billionaire.
The hiking, swimming, sailing, yachting—and, I can’t forget the incredible food. You can be casual, or dressed up, anything goes depending on the activity.
My favorite hike is from Cap d’Ail in the early morning heading for the Tête de Chien climbing the old Roman footpaths until you arrive in the quaint town of La Turbie. It is a hike, lots of stairs, but one worthy of the effort.
Also, swimming along the promenade in Cap d’Ail cooling off in the late afternoon sunshine before stopping for a glass of wine with tapenade, cheese and freshly baked bread—well, it just doesn’t get any better.
The palace in Monte Carlo is worth a visit. Don’t forget to stop at the chapel where Prince Rainier and Princess Grace were married. If you can, go during the Medieval Days, it’s a fun event to attend. The highlight each year is the annual fireworks hosted by the Prince in July and August. It is the most spectacular fireworks display in the world. Hotel de Paris is a must, along with the café and casino. Exposure to a Billionaire has a few scenes that were inspired from my many trips there.
